Chigüires felices /Happy Capybaras

Mi amiga Francis se casó hace un mes...cuando me contó que se casaba por supuesto que de inmediato me ofrecí a tejerle algo, lo que quisiera para su boda...
No tuvimos que pensar mucho...rápidamente nos decidimos por los muñequitos para la tarta...por alguna extraña razón los novios se llaman de cariño "chigüirito" (es el roedor viviente de mayor tamaño y peso del mundo. Habita en manadas en regiones de climas tropicales y templados siempre cerca del agua en humedales.)

Menos mal que Ravelry casi nunca me falla y al buscar un patrón de chigüire alli estaba. Es un poco complicado, no lo recomendaría para principiantes. Hay que hacerlo despacio, concentrado y con confianza pero el resultado es muy bueno, al menos yo he quedado muy contenta y con ganas de hacer más (supongo que Jara tendrá pronto alguno...jijijij). Últimamente utilizo para los amigurumis hilos delgados de algodón de Katia (Missisipi3, New Orleans o Cotton Stretch) con ganchillo de 2.25mm y me gusta mucho el acabado.

My friend Francis got married about a month ago. When she told that they were getting married I inmediatly offered myself to crochet something for the wedding.
We didn´t have to think much about it, the wedding caketoppers where the best choice. Their pet name is "chigüirito" (little capybara) so definitely this was the way to go!.
Luckily I always find what I´m looking for  in Ravelry, so I used THIS PATTERN. It´s a bit complicated, so I don´t recommend it for begginers but with patience and confidence you´ll get a very nice result...I ended up very happy with it! Iám sure I´ll be crocheting more of this cutties!.
I´ve been crocheting my amigurumis with Katia´s thin cotton yarns (Missisipi3, New Orleans and Cotton stretch) with a 2.25mm hook and I´m pretty happy with it!

Mi amiga Iliana se casó hace casi 2 meses. Nada me hubiese gustado más que estar alli con ella, llorar con ella, brindar con ella, bailar con ella, echarme unas risas con ella...tal cual ella lo hizo conmigo en mi boda. Pero los 17700 km (aprox) que separan Madrid de Brisbane lo hicieron imposible.

My good friend Iliana got married about 2 months ago.I wanted to be there with her soo baddly. To cried with her, to laugh with her, to dance with her...just like she did with me at my wedding. But the 17700 km that separte Madrid from Brisbane made it imposible.

¡Pero con mi ganchillo llego a todas partes!...y allá fueron a parar  estas dos ballentitas para adornar la tarta (además de unos cuantos corazones, otros pesacaditos, y hasta una pajarita...todo empaquetado en un bolsito). Para que usara lo que quisiera, como quisiera. Todo hecho con muchisimo cariño.

But with my hook I get anywhere I want!...so I did a bride-and-groom whales for the cake, and some flat hearts, flat fish and even a tie bow...all packed in a bag. So she could use them however she wanted. Everything made with all my heart.

El patrón de las ballenitas es de Planet June y lo pueden ver AQUI (usé un ganchillo 3.25mm). El patrón de los corazones planos también es de Planet June y está AQUI. El del corazón de amigurumi es ESTE. Los pecesitos son ESTOS. Y la pajarita y el bolso me los inventé... :P

The tiny whale pattern is from Planet June and you can find ir HERE, as well as the pattern for the flat hearts, that´s also from Planet June. The amigurumi heart pattern is HERE. And the little fish HERE. The tie bow and the bag are my own creation, but as you see the are pretty easy.
