Canasta y lanas / Basket and yarn

Natalia, Soraya and me have been crocheting squares for more than a month for this yarn bombing. The people from Festival Las Artes invited us to make something for the Campo de la Cebada and this basketball court cought our eyes!

During this time Alvaro and Francis also helped us and for the last sprint Amparo, Letica and Aranxa with her girls also helped us. We spent all Saturday morning putting together this “blankets”, many hands working together so we could leave a “yarny” souvenir in this great space.

That "magical" moment when you put all the pieces together and everything fits, there´s nothing missing, everything matches...it´s sooo GREAT!..and it´s what leaves us wanting more! ;)

¡y vivieron felices y comieron perdices! / ...and they lived happily ever after!

My good friend Iliana got married about 2 months ago.I wanted to be there with her soo baddly. To cried with her, to laugh with her, to dance with her...just like she did with me at my wedding. But the 17700 km that separte Madrid from Brisbane made it imposible.

But with my hook I get anywhere I want!...so I did a bride-and-groom whales for the cake, and some flat hearts, flat fish and even a tie bow...all packed in a bag. So she could use them however she wanted. Everything made with all my heart.

The tiny whale pattern is from Planet June and you can find ir HERE, as well as the pattern for the flat hearts, that´s also from Planet June. The amigurumi heart pattern is HERE. And the little fish HERE. The tie bow and the bag are my own creation, but as you see the are pretty easy.

¡Que vivan los novios! (¡¡¡¡¡que guapos!!!!)

They are sooooo cute!!!!!

¡Déjanos dormir! / Let us sleep!

Zoos are meant to be conservation and educational centers, not places where you can celebrates weddings and events. Nonetheless Faunia keeps using their pengüin display to make this kind of events.

and by the way...Happy International Yarn Bombing day!!!! ;)
